A simple protocol for restoring agency under pressure.
This is a working document
Move, Pause, Act is a personal protocol I have been developing to help maintain clarity and composure in demanding environments.
It is based on a simple cycle:
Move Pause Act
Movement shifts state. Pause interrupts reactivity. Action becomes more deliberate.
It is not a productivity system.
It is a way of restoring agency when pressure narrows attention and behaviour becomes reactive.
The idea is simple, but the sequence matters.
The sequence matters.
Many people try to think their way out of pressure while staying physically and emotionally stuck.
Move, Pause, Act reverses that.
Move - Change state.
Pause - Create space between stimulus and response.
Act - Then act deliberately.
